                               THE HISTORY OF THE MONUMENT

In 1999-2000 it was decided by Perm’s administration with the help of Perm’s region administration to organize a contest for the best project of Doctor Gral’s monument. He was one of the founders of Perm’s medical system and a famous doctor of the 19th century. The first prize the contest was given to A. L. Zalazaev ( a sculptor) and V. A. Vozhennikov ( an architector ). According to the project the monument was placed in Lenin St., near Perm central infirmary №2. In 2001- 2002 a lot of preparations which were about the agreement of the project, the money for its producing, the organization of state expertise, the development of technical conditions and so on. The city administration gave 500 thousand rubles for the decoration of the territory around the monument.[СУПЕРРУССКАЯ ВЕРСИЯ[1]]
