Let’s start working. 2. Подводящий к теме диалог. 2.1 Представление ассоциативных картинок. Now my dear, look here. There are three pictures on the screen. What do you see there? With what country do you associate these pictures? 2.2 Выстраивание ассоциативного ряда со словом «Великобритания». Right you are. Now what associations do you have when you hear the word “Great Britain”? 2.3 Актуализация знаний по теме. Very good, my dear. And what do we know about this country? Do we know about its geographical position? Your home task was to make a project about Great Britain. Now let’s look through your presentations. 3. Постановка проблемы But I know that Great Britain today takes the 4th place among economically developed countries and it is the most important centre of international trade. So what should we speak about? Only about its economy? On what does the development of economy depend? Does it depend on the climate of the country, or the resources of the country? So what is the topic of our lesson? Not only the economy of the country but its economic-geographical position. Isn’t it interesting for you to find out why the country takes such a high position in the world concerning the economy?
So what will be the question of the lesson? Why is this country one of the most economically-industrialized countries? Can you answer this question right now?

You should write your ideas and send and keep them in my file. If there are some unknown words you may use on-line dictionary on the site http://www.rambler.ru/dict/ Start working.

The first task is to read the text and to find out if Britain has more natural produce or manufactured produce and complete the chart. (Lesson 28 ex. 8) The second task is to decide if these nouns are likely to be a manufactured product, a natural product or a place. (Lesson 28 ex) The third task is to match these manufactured products with the raw materials they are made from. (Lesson28 ex. 13)
