Ilinskiy is a city type village, administration centre of the Iliynskiy district of Pern region. The village is located in the central part of Perm region, in the river Kama basin. The area is 3069 square km, the population is made up by 25 400 people.

The locality was found by merchants the Stroganovs. Ilinskiy is the centre of the Stroganovs privacy in Perm. It has the status of city type region since 1964.

Geography

District is located in the central part of the Perm region in the basin of the Kama River and its tributaries Obva and Chermoz.

River Obva

The district area is 3069 km ². The village borders on the Permian Komi District, Dobriansky, Karagaiskiy, Krasnokamsky and Perm municipal district.

Population

Population consists of 25.4 thousand people, including urban population - 13.2 ths. Of which: 95.3% - are Russian, 1.7% - Permian Komis, the rest - other nationalities. The area is home to predominantly Russian population. In the north and north-west there is a significant layer of the Permian Komis. Almost half the population of working age, 24% - over working age population, which number is higher than the average for the area. The average annual number of workers and employees is 8.7 ths. The number of graduates is 1918, of which higher educated - 629. Population density is higher in the central and southern parts of the district. The largest settlements are city type village Il'inskii (7.1 thous.)town Chermoz (4.1 thous.), village Sretenskoe (1467 pers.), village Vasilyevo (561 pers.), vellage Filatov (537 pers.)and village Krivets (503 pers.).

Some interesting facts

In 1955-56 after the formation of the Kama Reservoir significant part of the village was in a flood zone. The village was moved to the high place. Home-settlers from the neighboring villages appeared, while others were built anew. Ilinskoe lost appearance of the capital Stroganoff's possessions, but became the center of an agricultural area. Despite the fact that most of the villagers had worked in small businesses, after the opening of Vasilyevo's oil fields in 1962 the percentage of workers in the village increased.
